Fall Farmer’s Market

This weekend was a good one. On Saturday, Jake stayed home with Sofia and I got to take Hudson to the USC game on a little mommy date. I’m quickly learning how precious these times I have with them one on one are. We had so much fun! We didn’t get home until 1:30 … AM … but it was well worth the fun night. Yesterday we spent the day together just the four of us, we had a slow morning, went to the farmer’s market, and just rested. Much like the one on one time, I’m realizing how desperate our family is for these types of rest days together. Days with nothing on the agenda, just being. It’s something I want to build in to our monthly rhythms and not compromise on.
Clearly I’m learning a lot these days because it took me 4 years as a mom to realize how life-changing a backpack diaper bag is! Serious game changer here. Especially since having two, having my hands free for them over having a bag on one shoulder has been so nice. I tagged a few of my favorites below.
Hope you all had an amazing weekend and are ready for this new week!

Jac

Kidspace

Ok, I am so not used to LA having a winter, we haven’t had one in like 5 years, and I’m out of practice. On the one hand it’s fun to bundle up, on the other hand,  in 10 years I haven’t gone a year without being at the beach in a swimsuit in February, and you can’t really beat that. BUT this past week, it felt like spring!!! We are loving it! Hudson has played in the backyard for hours each day, we get to leave our windows open without getting super cold (I know I’m totally spoiled and a whimp when it comes to the “cold”), and we get to start revisiting our favorite outdoor spots. Hudson has been asking to go to Kidspace for weeks, and we finally got to go! It is our favorite kids museum in LA. It’s right in Pasadena next to the Rose Bowl, and you could easily spend the entire day there. They have indoor and outdoor play/explore areas and our favorite part in the summer is the river where kids can walk up and down the rocks and play with buckets and there’s a little waterfall, it is AMAZING! PS … I’m dying over their little faces in these pictures. Ah, I love them.

Happy Monday!
